Boswellia Papyrifera

The frankincense species of Papyrifera is known as the first traded frankincense in  antiquity during the Incense Trade in 11th century B.C. Frankincense was known as the highest quality incense throughout the world. Papyrifera is known for its lemony-pine aroma. 

Our Papyrifera resin is harvested in northern Ethiopia in mountainous and dry terrain. The Boswellia trees in this region often grow on 10 to 15% grade inclines making harvesting difficult and dangerous.
